Jersey Mike's (not to be confused with my new favorite train wreck of a show Jersey Shore) catered our lunch today. I got the Big Kahuna Philly Cheeseteak (AKA# 56). http://www.jerseymikes.com/menu.asp
This bad boy came with Chicken, grilled onions and peppers plus mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese!
The packaging for this sandwich was amazing. At first I was thinking really? Do we need to wrap it in paper, then tin foil, then put it in a bag as well? It was like I was opening up a gag/white elephant gift; lets just get to the good stuff already. In retrospect, when my sandwich was still hot, I figured that this was packaged for that reason, and I applaud Mr. Jersey Mike for thinking of me, the consumer, and delivering a HOT sandwich. One of my biggest pet peeves is that food doesn't always travel well. They could have FED EX-ed this sandwich back to NJ, and I think it still would have been warm. KUDOS Jersey Mike's!
So overall, I really liked this sandwich, the jalapeños gave it a spicy kick that I wasn't expecting, but it definitely added taste and a certain zing that made my mouth water. 4.75 burps! I am happy, full, and ready for the afternoon push.
