Island's for lunch today! And ANIME GUY on a DATE.

I went to ISLANDS for lunch today with one of my best friends JK.  I ordered their Sandpiper sandwich.  This beautiful sandwich is a grilled chicken breast, sauteed mushrooms, Swiss, lettuce, tomato & mayo on an Islands white or whole wheat bun.  I went with a whole wheat bun.  Super duper yummy for my tummy mo fo's!  I love this place, and now that they have endless fries as well...fuggedaboutit!  Although, I didn't get any extra ones, its nice to know that I could have sat there all afternoon, just eating their delicious french fried potaters.   Couple this great meal, with great company, and you get the elusive 5 BURPS!!!  Enjoy your bonus video you lucky little rascals!

Here is the original video.  I love both versions.  I remember how many times I listened to the 45 on my record player as a kid.  I also learned the all the lyrics, and I would mimick all of the artists in the song.  Now I have to do it all over again...this one might be a little more challenging.  Its sad that I don't recognize a lot of the artists in the new version.  I am getting old.  Anyway...here is the original version as well so you can reminisce with me!

Valentine's Day @ Farmer's Market and the Grove.

My beautiful wife and I, decided to spend Valentine's day @ the Grove and have brunch @ Farmer's Market. We shared chilaquiles verdes, and two Carnitas Tacos from Loteria Grill. We topped it off with a Strawberry/Nutella Crepe from the French Crepe Company. Wow! What an amazing choice! Not much more to add, I think the pictures speak for themselves. 5 emphatic burps!!! On location!

Togo's #8 and soup

Went to Togo's for lunch today. I was really craving some Broccoli Cheese soup and I know theirs is not bad. I went with their Half sandwich and soup combo. Got the #8 on Honey Wheat. Pretty happy with my choices today. 4 burps.

Itz-a-Deli for lunch today.

I went to Itz-A-Deli for lunch today.  It-was-a-treat!  Seriously so good.  I had their Hero Sandwich on Squaw bread.  I realize it should be served on a roll, but I thought I would go slightly healthier on the bread.
This great big sandwich, actually their large size is one and a half sandwiches.  This tasty bad boy came chock full of  Ham, Turkey and Roast beef.  I was only able to eat I could only eat two-thirds of this so I will have to polish off the rest of it for dinner.  4.5 burps. 

We also celebrated 3 birthdays today, so I got some chocolate cake for dessert.  "Dad is great, gives us chocolate cake"

Pei Wei for lunch today

Today, we had Pei Wei cater our lunch.  If you are not familiar with Pei Wei, it is ASIAN CUISINE.
I honestly can't tell you what I ate exactly, but I can tell you there was chicken and beef and an egg roll.
The chicken dishes did not travel well, and got cold very fast, it didn't help that I wasn't able to get my plate until about 30 mins after it was delivered.  The Beef was EXCELLENT.  Amazing, I want to bathe in whatever sauce that was.  Seriously, it was that good.   4.0 burps.  Have a great weekend!

Alex Garcia Artist is AMAZING!

I went to an Art Exhibit a few months ago, and was introduced to Alex Garcia's Art.  I can't tell you how much I was riveted to the pieces that he showed that night.  I have never been so moved by art in my life, but I found myself mesmerized by this man's work. Island's catered our lunch today.

Island's catered our lunch today. I am a terrible consumer...not really but yes, I knew they had a whole menu of things that I had never tried there, but lets be honest, their burgers are the reason I go there.  My eyes are wide open now!  Good stuff today, I tried their chicken wings, their rotisserie chicken, and even their Carnitas.  Not bad peeps...good food all around.  Do I even need to get into it about their fries?  No meal at Island's is complete without their fries!  This was a top notch lunch and I am giving it 4.5 burps.
