The Counter Burger in Irvine

Today, I had the privilege to try a new burger spot.  I went to The Counter. I have read reviews about this place, seen my friends on FB post pictures of their burgers, but never been there myself.  Today I found out that there is one nearby in Irvine, so I went there with three other co-workers.  I am about to tell you about this experience so hold on to your tacos!  In case you have never been there, you choose everything you want on your burger from a list on their MENU.  Pretty simple, just go down the list and choose your own topping.  For those of you who loved those "choose your own adventure" books, this is the perfect burger joint for you!  So I had a beef patty, added lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, pickles, chipotle aioli sauce, and soft ripened brie, all snuggled in a hamburger bun.  Wow...what a friggin' great burger!  So many options, and so much goodness.  I wish you could all lick your monitors and taste this lovely burger...well unless you are vegetarian, then I would have you go in and get order a veggie patty.
I became choked up twice during this experience, once before the last bite, and the second time when we got our bill.  Let's just say this is definitely a gourmet place, so expect gourmet prices...but that will not keep me from coming back.  5 burps without a doubt and even a tiny pedo.  If you don't know what that means, google translate it.  Enjoy your bonus video!
